We are delighted to share that the "ITOTAM & PRIAC Joint Turkish – Czech International Arbitration Conference & Investment and Business Forum" in Istanbul was a big success! A huge thanks to all our esteemed chairs, speakers and participants for their invaluable contributions. In these two days, hot topics related to international commercial arbitration and investment arbitration deeply discussed. This event gathered arbitrators, practitioners, lawyers, academics, and experts, fostering not only insightful exchanges but also the creation of new friendships and business connections and set the stage for future collaborations between the Republic of Türkiye and the Czech Republic. At the second day of the ITOTAM & PRIAC event, which coincided with International Women's Day (8th of March), Senem Bahçekapılı VINCENZI, Secretary General of ITOTAM, made a speech which mentioned the importance of this day. As ITOTAM, we are committed to improving the representation of women in arbitration. In 2023, we have become signatory to the Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge, and demonstrated our commitment to advancing gender diversity in international arbitration. This ledge seeks to increase on an equal opportunity basis, the number of women appointed as arbitrator, in order to achieve a fair representation. Statistically, the percentage of woman arbitrators appointed by the ITOTAM Arbitration Court in last 3 years is around %40 percent. In 2023, this percentage reached up to %50.
